Dentistry dedicated to excellence.

PREVENTIVE CARE

Oral health care, regular check-ups, cleaning and x-rays

Regular dental exams and professional cleaning visits are instrumental in preventing dental problems and maintaining the health of your teeth and gums. You should have your teeth checked and cleaned at least twice a year. X-ray images are taken as needed to show cavities, hidden dental structures (such as wisdom teeth), and bone loss that cannot be seen during a visual examination. Some patients may require more frequent visits as recommended by the dentist or hygienist.

RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

Fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges and dentures

Fillings and crowns are used to repair decayed or damaged teeth.  New materials and new technologies such as computer-aided manufacturing are used to match the restorations in color and appearance to the patient’s own teeth.  Veneers may be used to cover the front side of a tooth to improve esthetics.  Ceramic crowns are available to rebuild and fully cover a more severely damaged tooth.  Bridges may be used to replace missing teeth, while dentures  are intended for the partial or complete replacement of missing teeth.

PERIODONTOLOGY

Gum disease treatment

Periodontal diseases affect the gum and the bone that supports the teeth.  Gum recession, bleeding, and in severe cases tooth loosening are signs of periodontal problems.  We provide non-surgical as well as surgical therapy for periodontal diseases.  We also advise our patients on preventive techniques and provide ongoing maintenance for chronic periodontal conditions.

IMPLANTS

Replacing missing teeth

Implants have truly revolutionized dentistry.  It is no longer necessary to put a bridge on neighboring teeth to replace a missing tooth.  An implant restoration replaces the whole tooth, including the root.  Similarly to other dental procedures, implants are placed under local anesthesia and patients report no more discomfort than after other routine dental intervention.  Implants may be used to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth or to hold a whole denture.  At Crystal Lake Dental you will receive your implant and crown all under one roof.
