Emergency information

If you have a dental problem that requires immediate attention during regular office hours, please come directly to Crystal Lake Dental and we make every effort to see you promptly.  For dental emergencies after hours please call 781-245-6966.  Messages left at this number are checked regularly. If you have a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital or emergency room.

What can I expect at an appointment?

When you arrive at Crystal Lake Dental, the staff will greet you and seat you at the waiting room. We will examine you as quick as possible – average waiting time is 15 minutes.

What happens if I am a new patient?

At your first visit we will discuss your problem and ask about your medical history. If you have any medical conditions, please bring recent results of your examinations and tests, as well as information on your current medications.  We will perform a thorough dental examination and take X-rays.  If you have recent X-rays taken elsewhere you may ask your previous provider to send a copy by e-mail, USB memory stick or CD-disc.  We will discuss with you the results of your examinations and we will offer you treatment options.   Once a treatment plan is set, we will provide you with a price estimate and provide you with necessary information to be submitted to your insurance company.

Short procedures may be completed at the initial visit.  Longer procedures will require additional appointments.

Do you have Imaging (x-rays, CT-scan) facilities?

Dgital x-rays are taken in-office.  Less frequently utilized procedures such as panoramic X-rays and CT-scans are referred to a nearby office in Melrose.  If you have recent X-rays or CT scans, you may bring them with you or request the previous dental office to send it to us by e-mail.

Do you examine children at your clinic?

Yes, Dr. Csilla Gyurko and Brandi Walsh are both experienced in treating children as well as adults.

What happens if I need a prescription?

We may prescribe for example analgesia treatment for your condition. Please let us know in case you have any allergy or other medical condition.

If you have already been taking drugs prescribed by your home doctor, please bring them with you for clarification or possible drug interactions and correlations with the new condition.
